| 초록 | 현재 『환단고기桓檀古記』는 재야사학계 뿐만 아니라 일반인들도 특별한 역사서歷史書로 관심을 갖고 있다. 『환단고기』는 1911년 계연수에 의하여 안함로安含老의 『삼성기 전 상편』, 원동중元董仲의 『삼성기 전 하편』, 이암李嵒의 『단군세기』, 범장范樟의 『북부여기』, 이맥李陌이 저술한 『태백일사』를 합본하여 출간한 역사서이다. 계연수의 제자 이유립이 보관하여 갖고 있던 원본 『환단고기』를 1949년 제자 오형기에게 정서精書시킨 것을 조병윤이 1979년에 ‘광오이해사’ 를 통하여 필사본 『환단고기』를 출판함으로써 세상에 알려지게 되었다. 본 연구 논문에서는 『환단고기』의 편찬과 전래 과정을 검토하고, 『환단고기』가 위서僞書라고 주장하는 강단사학계 일부 역사학자의 논문과 출판된 저서들의 내용들을 정리하였다. 그리고 청나라 이후 사용된 근대 용어라고 지목하는 『환단고기』에 기재된 특정 지명(예: 영고탑, 문화, 문명 등)과 역사 기술 사항 등이 위서론자들이 주장하는 사용 시기보다 더 오래전에 사용된 증거들을 찾았다. 또한, 『환단고기』에 있는 역사적 내용과 지명 등이 현재까지 잘 알려 지지 않았던 일제강점기 이전에 출판되어 현존하는 역사서와 해방 후 발굴된 유물 등과 대조하여 진위를 확인한 결과『환단고기』가 위서가 아님을 증명하였다. 특히, 조인성 등 위서론자들이 1911년 계연수에 의하여 편찬된 『환단고기』의 원본이 없다는 것을 근거로 해방 후에 만들어진 위서라고 주장하고 있는데, 이러한 주장이 허위임을 증명해주는 ‘등사본’ 『환단고기』의 존재를 확인하였다. 이 등사본 『환단고기』는 「삼성열기三聖列記」, 「단군세기」, 「북부여기」 상, 하만 수록되어 있다.1979년 광오이해사 출판 『환단고기』「삼성기 전 상」과 『등사본 환단고기』「삼성열기」의 원문을 비교해볼 때 문장의 일부분이 다른 부분이 있다. 『환단고기』「삼성기 전 상」은 「삼성열기」의 원문 내용과 비교해볼 때 90% 정도는 같지만 나머지 약 10% 정도 차이가 있다. 「단군세기」, 「북부여기」 상, 하에도 일부분이 수정, 추가 또는 삭제되어 차이를 보이고 있다. 등사본 『환단고기』는 한문 문장에 한글 현토가 달려 있고, 「삼성열기」를 보면 문장 끝에 “李沂註曰. --”이란 주해註解가 기재되어 있어 광오이해사본 『환단고기』와 다르다. 이는 이유립이 아닌 제삼자가 소장했던『환단고기』혹은 그 저본을 보고 만든 것으로 짐작된다. 어쩌면 등사본『환단고기』는 1911년 계연수가 편찬한 『환단고기』의 저본일 수도 있다고 추론하였다. 따라서 등사본『환단고기』의 존재는 기존의 광오이해사본 혹은 배달의숙본『환단고기』가 1911년 계연수에 의하여 편찬된 원본이 실재하였음을 입증하는 증거라 할 수 있다.『환단고기』는 과거에 망실된 우리 고대사를 복원하는데 중요한 역사서라고 판단되며, 위서론-진서론의 논쟁을 종식하고 다함께 『환단고기』를 있는 그대로 연구함으로써 우리나라 고대사에 왜곡되거나 부정확한 역사를 바로 잡아 역사 발전에 기여할 것을 제안한다. |

| Abstract | At present, 『Hwandan Gogi』 is considered as a special document by the shadow academia of historical studies, and/or general persons. 『Hwandan Gogi』 edited by Kye Yeon-soo under the supervision of Lee Ki is a combined history book composed of the first volume of 「Samseonggi」written by Ahnhamro, the second volume of 「Samseonggi」 by Won Dong-jung, 「Dangun Segi」 by Yi Am, 「North Buyeo History」 by Beom Jang, and 「Taebaek Ilsa」 by Yi Maek.This research reviewed the publication and introduction process of 『Hwandan Gogi』, and described evidences regarding the truth of 『Hwandan Gogi』. And the usage of specific terms in 『Hwandan Gogi』 (e.g. Younggotap, culture, civilization, and so on), which had been considered as modern words were reviewed from documents before Qing dynasty. In addition, there are some historical contents and place names in 『Hwandan Gogi』 that are matched with those used in obscure historic books and artifacts. This finding proves that 『Hwandan Gogi』 is a rare book. Especially, the scholars, who regard it as a forged book have argued that there is no original copy of 『Hwandan Gogi』 published by Kye Yeon-soo in 1911. In this article, mimeograph edition of 『Hwandan Gogi』was introduced. This edtion is a critical evidence that demonstrate the presence of 『Hwandan Gogi』published in 1911 by Kye Yeon-soo. This copied book only includes 「Samseong Yeolgi」, 「Dangun Segi」, 「North Buyeo History」, which are a part of original 『Hwandan Gogi』, although there is no record on the authors and publicated time of this copy. The postscript in the 1979 year version of 『Hwandan Gogi』 mentions that “『Hwandan Gogi』 was supervised by Lee Ki, and some wrong contents were reviseded and re-written effortfully.” 「Samseong Yeolgi」 in the mimeographed 『Hwandan Gogi』 shows annotations by Lee Ki. It is assumed that Kye Yeon-soo’s original copy of 『Hwandan Gogi』 is based on this version which was published with annotations during the Japanese colonial period. Therefore, 『Hwandan Gogi』 is proved that it was published by Kye Yeon-soo in 1911, and it is not a forged book written by Lee Yoo-rip in 1970’s.The controversies over the authenticity of 『Hwandan Gogi』 between scholars in shadow academia and current professors of history in universities of Korea should be ended to elucidate the correct history of Korea. That will stimulate continuous studies on 『Hwandan Gogi』 together by correcting any false or inaccurate contents of ancient history in order to contribute historical development of Korea |
