| 초록 | 한국 고대사를 담은 사서가 거의 없는 현실에서 『환단고기』라는 책이 출판 되고 이와 관련해서 다양한 논의가 발생했다. 대다수 국민들은 우리 상고사의 위대 함에 많은 관심을 갖게 되었다. 그러나 학계에서는 이를 받아들이지 않았다. 그 이유 는 『환단고기』의 내용이 기존의 역사학계의 주장과 매우 차이가 나기 때문이었다. 강단사학계의 몇몇 학자들은 『환단고기』가 위서라고 주장했고, 이를 입증하는 근거 를 마련했다. 그러나 그들의 위서론은 역사적 사실과 상식에 어긋나고 논리적 모순 을 범하고 있다. 이 논문에서는 『환단고기』 위서론의 논리를 비판하고 그 논리적 부 당성을 밝히고 있다. 나아가 위서론이란 실제로 존재하는 학술적 입장이 아니라 『환 단고기』를 부정하기 위해 만들어낸 조작설이며 허구임을 드러내고 있다. 무엇보다 도 이 논문은 위서론자들의 논리를 그들의 주장 내에서 비판하고, 그들의 주장을 바 탕으로 해서 위서론이 어떤 가능한 학문적 주장이 아니라 허구적 내용을 담은 허구 의 논리임을 입증한 데에 그 의의가 있다. |

| Abstract | The Hwandangogi was published in the beginning of the 1980s, stirring much debate among historians studying ancient Korean history, a field which until this time featured almost no historical records. Many Koreans developed an interest in the greatness of their early ancient history as a result. However, mainstream history academia hasn’t accepted the veracity of the Hwandangogi. This is because the Hwandangogi presents information far different from prevailing academic theories about Korean history. Some mainstream historians contend the Hwandangogi is a forgery, and have attempted to offer evidence for their assertions. However, their arguments defy both historical facts and common senses. They are also logically inconsistent. This essay presents a critique against the logic of the Hwandangogi forgery theories and sheds light on the inconsistencies in their argumentation. Furthermore, the essay shows that the Hwandangogi forgery theory isn’t a true academic position based on research; rather it is a means of argumentation concocted to repudiate the veracity of the Hwandangogi. Above all, this essay is a critique on the logic of the assertions made by those who claim the Hwandangogi is an inauthentic work of history. In doing so it proves that the claims of such theorists are not based on any form of possible conclusion from the study of history, but rather on fabricated evidence for the sake of false arguments.
