| 초록 | 장식대도는 삼국시대의 분묘에서 출토되는 부장유물 가운데 피장자의 지 배적인 상징성을 나타내는 위세품 가운데 하나에 속한다. 장식대도는 환두대도, 원 두대도, 방두대도, 규두대도 등으로 분류된다. 우리나라 삼국시대의 장식대도는 출 토자료가 많고 형태가 매우 다양하며, 발생기의 모습을 나타내고 있다. 일본은 한국 에서 영향을 받은 관계로 장식대도의 출토자료가 풍부하고, 정형화된 형식에서 발 전하여 퇴화된 형식의 장식대도가 많이 출토되는 등 다양성을 지니고 있다. 장식대 도는 한국과 중국 그리고 일본의 상호관계에서 살펴보면 중국은 장식대도와 관련된 유물은 매우 제한적이며, 한국은 출토유물이나 종류가 매우 다양하고 도상이나 제 작기술이 매우 우수하여 일본의 장식대도의 발생과 발전에 지대한 영향을 주었음을 알 수 있다. |

| Abstract | The purpose of this study is to apprehend the typological aspects of Ornamental Swords found as grave goods in tombs used as status symbols of the ruling class during the Three Kingdoms period. The Ornamental Swords excavated in the tombs of the Three Kingdoms had ‘personality’, a kind of symbolic sword, which carried the meaning of societal prestige of the buried. The main contents of this thesis are about the periodic and technical inspection of Ornamental Swords discovered in Korea and Japan up until now. It also considers the symbolic meaning of Ornamental Swords in relief through the method of pattern recognition and chronological dating of the Ornamental Swords through type classification. In as much as for the Ornamental Swords themselves, China has many sites at which they were found, and it is possible to trace them to its origin there, whereas Korea’s are of various forms and are found in abundance, while Japan’s are most varied due to the influence imparted from ancient Korea.
